Callaway Big Bertha. Last years version is very long off the tee.

Had that, then went to a demo day for the Callaway GBB Epic and bought it. Last year's model feels better, but the Epic produced better results. Played with it the first time last Saturday and the rest of my group kept noticing the results.

Juts bought the epic 3 wood and love it so I may have to try the driver out.

There's probably not a single player on the PGA tour who would be playing anything other than Taylormade metal woods if they weren't being paid to play other brands.

My suggestion would be go to a shop that will allow you to take out demos.

Try a few at the range till you find one that fits your hand.

That being said I swing a Taylor Made R9.

Anything made in the last 5-7 years with a good shaft fit to your swing... Golf heads havent evolved much over the past few years and all the gimmicky garbage is getting old. Get fit for a good shaft and then find a head to put it in off of eBay.

I'm a big Ping guy and the i25 driver is quite possibly the best head I've hit in a while.

That is a really bad statement. No piece of golf equipment is a good fit for everyone except maybe a golf tee, and that's a stretch. College golfers and top amateurs spend their money on stuff that works for them, and it's not all Taylor Made. I've seen some guys on tour have a Taylor Made head cover on a Callaway or Titleist driver because they like it better but they have an endorsement deal with Taylor Made.

Used market Titleist 975D driver, 8.5 degree loft, stiff Titleist Ultralite shaft.

$19.99

Best driver I ever had until I snapped the original shaft. I purchased another online that was a 9.5 degree loft because I couldn't find the shaft. It hit for shite. So I had the shaft pulled and spined, then installed in my 8.5 degree head. Back to pure sweetness and long as shite off the tee.

Oh, this was the driver Woods used to win four majors in a row, too, except he hit the 7.5.
