Holy frickin shite. Maybe it's time Chicken made a SJW board so all you guys could post your shite there. Every fracking day y'all have half a dozen posts about racism. I find it pedestrian and stale.
Where am I coming off as racist here? I'm talking about your daughter dating a wrongfully acquitted murderer. I'm just saying people who say their daughter (or son for that matter) could date literally anyone and you wouldn't do shite about it are lying through their teeth or they don't love their children.
You clearly don't know the meaning of a SJW if you think I am one. I've been one of their more vocal opponents in this board.

Just say "fricking", for frick's sake.

I'm told how I should feel about how my

If this is actually relevant when she's 13, you're a terrible father.

Why don't you stop clicking on these threads.
You would really be doing everyone including yourself a favor.
I'm not going to be bullied out of here by a moron like you.

OT fathers would you have a problem with your daughter dating outside her race?
Yes.
That includes Gumps and Arkansans.

There is only one race, the human race. The rest is just over thinking. Character not color.
Posted on 6/9/16 at 8:29 pm to mouton
Outside the human race? Damn right I'm not letting some Reptilian from Alpha Draconi into my house.

Diversity is our greatest strength. One love. We are the world. An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Ignorance is strength. Freedom is slavery. His name is Robert Paulson.

Any white person who says they would not have a problem with it is lying.
Nah. Not everyone cares about race. It's more about socioeconomic status. The problem here is most in this thread relate black to a lower class. But that's what happens when you leave in po dunk towns and the majority of your time in spent around poorer and less educated people.
The reality is middle class black people have way more in common with middle class while people than they do with lower class black people.
I'm a middle class white man, married a middle class black girl. We have one kid and one on the way and I can honestly say we have never suffered from any kind of stigma.

That and the ideology are all I'd really care about.... well that and age obviously.

Exactly. There is little difference between us as long as we've got one thing in common: a married family where the Dad and Mom put the kid first and raise the child responsibly. That's literally all it takes. When a white father pumps out 15 kids with 13 different women and doesn't stay behind to support them, then they end up just as fricked up as kids raised in the Baltimore slums.
When you boil it down, it isn't really a race issue: it's a parenting issue. You have parents that stay, support their kids, and demand their kids give a damn about their education, then the problems will correct itself. Race really has nothing to do with it.

I will piggyback on the person that mentioned stigma. It's not an issue of to each their own. Everyone has the right to date who they want.
There's two main problems I have with it. And I've had good friends marry black. 1.) Public perception among the communities youth. I would venture to guess at least 50% of same race parents raising a one race child find it awkward when they go out in public with the child and have to explain why these 2 people are together; hugging, holding hands, toting a mixed child around, etc. It's similar to same sex couples close together in public. It's awkward and puts our nations young families in a bad position of having to explain, if asked, what their kid is seeing and why. Or, wondering if their own child has an opinion of what he is seeing.
2.) Often times interracial marriage means interracial children. The children theoretically are no race. They have no true racial identity. They have to grow up enduring ridicule. They have to marry or date the unknown, they are neither black or white to identify with. How do they choose and what percent of the mixed child's society doesn't want to date them, or marry them as adults? I've been around a few young mixed adults, and their social life is a big psychological struggle. It's well established Halle Berry has wanted to commit suicide over it.
It's an extremely selfish thing to do. If you're going to do it, stay home, don't be seen in public together, and don't have children

My daughter's mixed race, so ... nein.
Posted on 6/9/16 at 8:40 pm to mouton
I have a son, no daughters yet. I'll admit thou that I wouldn't be comfortable with her dating an AA. Guess that makes me a bigot.

Some of you people seem to think of nothing but racism. Yes it exists. In all races. As long as no harm comes to my family because of it, I really don't care. You shouldn't either.
I teach my kids about racial equality and always treating others with respect. God is always watching and, if I can help it, he won't see my kids treating people of any race poorly.
That being said, I would be against them dating outside our race. One good reason is I wouldn't want my future grandkids being verbally abused by both races for being mixed. We've all seen that plenty.

I only have boys, but I wouldn't give a care. I would probably have a talk with them just saying we want them to marry for love, but they need to know that there will be some tough hurdles out there because of assholes in the world. that shouldn't change their mind, just know there will be people of both races with issues because of it, but not with us.
That being said, the only argument I've ever had with my incredibly great in laws was when they mentioned that my wife's cousin was dating a black guy and the dad wasn't happy. We said "why" and they said "well how would you feel if the boys were dating a black girl?"
That's when the argument started.

Well, you can just explain to your kids it's like same sibling parents raising an inbred child, like your own.
Congrats on recently getting electricity BTW.
