Good morning everyone, hope you're all having a great week. In recent searches I really haven't seen too many great deals recently from BTR or MSY so I'm just going to post what I've found. There is a special on Allegiant for New Orleans- Orlando/Sanford (SFB) so if anyone has input on Allegiant please comment as I've never flown them.

Baton Rouge to:
Orlando: $230 on United, Delta, or US Air. Wide open availability until the second week of December

NYC: $256 on US or American. Good until the end of November

Fort Lauderdale: $218 on US, United, or Delta. Mostly Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays until November

New Orleans to:
Dallas: $81 on Southwest or American, almost any day. More availability on Southwest

Chicago: $107 on American. Mostly Tuesdays and Wednesdays in September

Seattle: $270 on United, $285 on Delta, $288 on Alaska. Now through second week of November.

Orlando: $90 on Allegiant in Sept/ Oct. They only have two flights a week (leave Nola or Orlando on Thursdays or Sundays), but for $90 that's not too bad a deal. Their schedule goes out until February. It's $260 on US/Delta/United/American/Southwest

Miami: $135 on United or American. Mostly September and October

Fort Lauderdale: $152 on Southwest, $168 on Delta. Mostly Tues, Wed, Sat on Southwest, Delta some Mondays and Fridays thrown in as well

Actually yes, just went and checked again. You can do a friday-sunday/monday on United 11/6-11/8 or 9 for $135. The next weekend 11/13-11/15 or 16 for same price on American.

ETA: You may have to book two one-way tickets to get that price. Go on American, come back on United or vice versa

Im thinking of flying from MSY to ATL on Oct 30. They're running $204-$215. Is that the going rate or am I looking too late. Is there some anomaly with Halloween? Should I hold out?

Thanks Cuse, you the man.

MSY to ATL on Oct 30

A one-way ticket on Southwest or Delta for that date is $102 so the $204 sounds about right depending on what day you return. A one-way on Southwest on the 29th is $93. Now if you left on the 28th or 31st and returned on tuesday nov 3rd we could get a roundtrip down to $161.

I gotcha. I think my crux is that my schedule its very flexible. Flights pretty much have to be on Friday Oct 30 and Sunday Nov 1, which I'd imagine aren't the best days of the week to fly.

Should I hold out or go ahead now?

We are still over 2 months out from those travel dates so in all likelihood it can/will go down. I tend to see the best prices between 1-2 months out. Also I haven't seen Southwest/Delta have a pissing match on MSY-ATL recently, I think we're due soon. However, if the price doesn't go down please don't blame me . $204 doesn't seem bad for a Friday- Sunday ticket though

I think flights from MSY to Columbia, SC (Oct. 8-11) are about as low as they will get. I have been waiting it out, should I just go ahead and book it?

I'm trying to get to jackson hole in February from MSY. Does this rarely get under $500?

Also delta flights from msy to slc are usually $400 or so, but around New Year's it's $700, I wonder if this will reduce or not.

So I booked my ticket to the syracuse game about a month ago and immediately after I booked it all I've seen the price do is go up. $384 seems pretty pricey for that weekend, but if there's that many people from the BR/Nola area flying that could explain it. If you fly from Mobile it's $308 on Delta for those dates (Thurs night- Sun night)

I highly doubt it, I've been able to get Denver for around $200 for that time, but flying to a resort town during peak ski season it's going to be pricey. I wouldn't book anything yet but keep an eye on it. Enjoy the skiing, never been there but would love to go

Do not book anything around X-mas or new years yet please! Everything is way overpriced as of right now. I booked an award ticket to get back home for xmas a few weeks ago, no way was I spending $450 to fly back to philly from BTR. I would've driven for that price. I'll let everyone know when christmas/new years prices come down

$375 MSY-Cancun for Oct 24-Oct 31
I can't get the pricing to work out right for BTR-CUN, it's over $530.
