Civilization: The West and the Rest
Should add some color here. Basically the whole premise of the book is to investigate why the West surpassed the rest of the world post-1500. It's written by a British historian named Niall Feguson. He is the Laurence P Tisch professor of history at Harvard.
The book offends some people because it kind of runs counter to academia's views and champions the ideals of western civilization, but in a thoughtful way. Kind of similar to Guns, Germs, and Steel, but not as simplistic or politically correct.

Literally just finished Dead Wake: The Last Crossing of the Lusitania by Erik Larson. But I preferred his book Devil in the White City.
Next will probably be The Girl on the Train or The Stand

Just finished Bill O'Reilly's Legends & Lies. It was OK, but not nearly as good as his Killing series.
