OT Baws: Need Help Planning a NOLA Weekend

Make sure your affairs are in order

Do you have a living will? If not, get one before next Thursday

No way baw, that's why I'm appealing to the gentlemen of the OT.

Need some novel suggestions outside of the regular NOLA nonsense.

The Zoo is great along with the big fish tank. Don't know if they still run the river cruise from one to the other, but if they do, do it.

Visit the crime museum in central city and the hash houses/brothels in Storyville

If starting things on Friday, try going to Bacchanal on Friday evening. Trust me, the facade does not do this place justice. Walk in, grab a couple bottles of wine, some stinky cheese and meats from the fridge, pay at the counter and go sit in the backyard. There will be a small ensemble playing jazz or dixieland music, lot's of people hanging and conversing. If you're not into the wine, good beer selection and specialty drinks served upstairs. Also, very nice small tapas type plates served in the backyard if the cheese and meat tray they serve you is not enough. My wife and I usually start here and plan our weekend from that point, so bring your ideas of where to go and places to eat, and be flexible. Decide if you want to eat "touristy or local" and go from there. Try the F&D board for better responses to this question!.
Besides what you've mentioned, there is the NOLA Rum tour, NOLA beer tour, French Market and of course the walking and drinking.

This. So have a few hundred on your hip to keep the mugger happy, and a few condoms in your pocket. If you get a decent rapist maybe he'll suit up before he violates you. Also get a penicillin shot may be helpful!
