Whole bunch of weirdos here shitting on concert tickets being too expensive while they have LSU season tickets, a side by side, a boat that needs its motor repaired, and a Yeti full of anything but Bud Light

ETA not that they aren't too expensive, but "this is what's wrong with the world now" may not be your best argument

yea, 10 years ago I would've had no idea who Taylor Swift was. Now I have a 12 year old daughter and I'm officially dad of the year in my house after I scrambled around and got tickets. Made me very happy when I got to tell her she was going and could take a friend.

Ticket prices are getting out of control.

I was going to plan to go see Aerosmith in Nashville on their last tour. Looked at ticket prices. Yea. WTF ever. Saw them in 98 on the Nine Lives Tour. They can’t possibly put on as good of a show now in their older days. Guess that was my “Peace Out”.

You should really buck up for one of the Brazil stops.

1.6 million people are in virtual line for Taylor Swift tickets in São Paulo, Brazil. Another 700,000 are in line in Rio de Janeiro.

The global power of US cultural influence is a great as ever.

Me too brother. I remember two outdoor concerts that I went to. She was the last band to perform. I left. Just watched it for a few minutes and all her shows are geared towards kids. Plus she is a commie

My wife and I literally flew to Boston, stayed in a nice hotel, ate a fantastic dinner and drinks, and saw my favorite band perform with the Boston Pops in Symphony Hall last week for half that price.

Girlfriend wanted to see her in Tampa. On the drive there, bought 2 tickets for 900 each. Stayed in a dumpy motel. She was happy.

Shitting on how other people spend their money is a core tenet of the OT.

Dude. What about the Super Bowl or World Series. If your favorite team was in it and you had the money why not for the experience for your child? I don't blame anyone who has the money for doing it.

I'm not sure what needs to be done, but ticket prices for most things are out of control. I went to get CAAMP tickets in Charlotte and, of course, all the original tickets were purchased and are now at reseller sites for like 200+ dollars. I'd be willing to be 99% of Charlotte has no idea who CAAMP is.
