I still wear North Face even though poors wear it now. It's just too practical for me not to. Plus they last forever. I have jackets that are 15 years old and like new.
Patagonia products, on the other hand, have not been worth the premium price. I also found their pants and shorts to be somewhat constricting, and I'm not an overly muscular person.

There are a few brands I didn't mention because I don't want to see them being worn by soccer moms leaving Victoria's Secret at the Mall of Louisiana.
