So if a driver for Coca Cola is going to fill the vending machines at City Hall, he's required, in order to keep his job, to be vaccinated???

Is that where we are now?

i agree with that, but does it change your opinion that these contractors have existing contracts? So the city can revise a contract on their whim? that does not sound right, but i also may be wrong.

I deal with these contractors on a daily basis...there is a long list of them that are going to have some legal fun with this. there are some litigious contractors in this city.

Of course it’s Constitutional. How would it not be?

As long as exceptions are made for sincere religious beliefs.

That wouldn’t be a Constitutional issue but a contractual issue. Which could be an issue.

Wouldnt be surprised if it falls under a safety clause.

Or just simply a requirement of entering the facility.

infrastructure projects are outside. PMs or some people may need to visit city hall for permits/meetings/etc., but the majority of these people will always be outside.

The constitution also guarantees the right for a man to drag up for their beliefs.

What she is doing is stupid as all get out, but it's not unconstitutional, Broham Lincoln.

The crazy part to me is that this mandate is actually to protect the actual employee and not his or her coworkers.

They are telling employees that they will fire them bc they refuse to protect themselves from illness. That is crazy to me.

Also i would argue a reasonable accommodation would be increased testing/masking and not just unpaid leave.

On a similar note, my understanding is the the Postal Workers Union shut down Biden’s federal mandate pretty quickly or at least put a substantial obstacle in his plan.

I don't think putting Coca-Cola in a vending machine qualifies as working on an infrastructure project.

Im sure the contract has a provision requiring the contractor to comply with any current and future ordinances and executive orders.

Destroya doesn’t give a shite about the Constitution. It’s her rules and she’s going to run run things as she sees fit.
