House I build after this one I will make sure it is a typical South Louisiana country French design

Looks like some variation of acadian to me, but I'm no architect. A little gaudy, but that wrap-around porch is awesome.
Without a forward facing garage, the home loses the appeal of the majority of the OT.

beautiful but such a ton of wasted porch space. You aren't using that type of open front/side porches for parties etc. Its decreasing the liv sq ft of the home you are building substantially.

Built quite a few and always considered them under the Greek revival umbrella. Some call it plantation/colonial mash ups. Great looking house

Or just build the amount of living space you want and then include a wrap around porch in addition. Unless the house is already against setbacks you aren't decreasing anything, just adding.
Plus a porch is going to be a good bit less money per square foot than conditioned space, and if done right can add energy savings keeping direct sunlight off of the walls/windows.

It looks like 3 or 4 architects got in an argument and nobody won.
That's an ugly house.

It's not as bad in person as it looks in this photo IMO.

If you want to see a bunch of similar houses drive through Lakeview one day. There are a ton like this, albeit on much smaller lots.

I guess you would call that a pediment, but it's really just a decorative piece of parapet wall, doesn't serve the exact same function.
Agreed, it would need to go.

Yep. Keep the pediment and remove the window or keep the window and remove the pediment.
