OT Arborists - Can you identify this tree?

I see a lot of these trees in and around my neighborhood. They all produce resplendent fall colors. Much more so than than others. Do you know what kind of tree it is?

Looks kind of oakish to me.
Where is this located? If it's in La, an oak shouldn't be that color yet.

Where do you live? Looks like sugar maple to me. They are typically more orange and yellow than red maples, and the leaves are bigger and less deeply lobed. They are more common the further north you go (and have better color).
