You can't run as a Republican in New Orleans. I see 3 that are fairly conservative. 2 out of the 3 are not running.

So your stats are using counties, not cities.

Let's use cities and see who is where.

quote:

Countdown of the top 30 cities in the U.S. with the highest murder rates – 2017
Our crime research reveals the 30 cities in America with the highest number of murders per 1,000 residents. Murder is the willful (non-negligent) killing of one human being by another. We limited our research to cities with 25,000 or more people. Data used for this research are 1) the number of murders reported to the FBI to have occurred in each city, and 2) the population of each city.

Up until 2015, things were looking better in the city

Since then, it's been on the decline. If the 2016, 2017 datum were included in this, I bet the city itself would be top 2

Tell me what I need to do to stop crime in Nola besides being a law abiding citizen, paying my taxes and hoping the gov't uses it properly.

I'll hang up and listen.

I worked /trained Trauma in Pre-Katrina NOLA for years and still have many colleagues in the city.

They all confirm it's back to "Murder Capital" levels.

Some of my best stories are from room #4 at Charity.

I bet I've heard some similar stories from ER nurses at Earl K in BR. What's the common factor?

I wonder how many cities with a population north of 100,000 have republican mayors

Edit: only 13 out of the top 50 largest cities have republican mayors
