It’s weird how some of you seem to actively root for people to lose their jobs/resent that they are lobbying for increased pay and/or working conditions.

i have no problem with people wanting to make more money.

i have a problem with the government TELLING private companies how much they should pay.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that these cafeteria workers aren't working for private companies

Unless you think the culinary epicenter of the gulf south is home to a ton of cafeterias

honestly, didn’t even click the link and was not even responding about these particular people.

was simple replying to the statement i quoted.

and while i don’t want the government telling food service places what to pay people, i’d be ok with them all getting paid more if it meant i actually got what i ordered.

So prices go up, and less people eat there and decide to go out for fast food. Demand goes down, quality suffers, and people get fired.
