I needed a foldable canvas stretcher to keep in the car, wife 78 years old/polio has a real risk of going to the ground while transferring in/out of car. Getting her picked up is the objective and have used a sheet before but it's awkward. Searching through Amazon at length, I settled on a 6 foot long 30 inch wide canvas stretcher with 4 hand hold openings on both sides in a 12x10x6 inch Carey bag.
Turns out it's been well tested in Ukraine carrying folks to safety. Received it with all the customs declarations delivered right to the house. I would highly recommend it for young folks that do a lot of out back hiking. Or folks taking care of elderlies.

This just canvas?
EMS has had them for years. Nickname was a “man sack”. The ones I’m talking about were as big as a living room rug and meant for your 600 pounders. Saw someone got smart a while back, cut them in half for normal sized folks in similar situations. They’re damned near indestructible and that’s the disposable ones. The old school full sized ones were subjected to all manners of horror that a fatty could produce. Biggest I’ve seen was 750 lbs.

Anticipate it looks something like this;
Folds up nicely to attach to the top of your rucksack (or in the trunk of your car).

You should thank all of us tax paying Americans, I'm sure we paid for it to be made.

I just ordered a mail order bride from there. She supposedly cooks a great Chicken Kiev.

Just a heads up, you can call your local volunteer fire dept. They all gladly help lift her. Had a few experiences with my elderly mother when I wasn't there to help less able family members
