The phenomenon of orcas feeding on white sharks actually started happening tens of thousands years ago. It’s still interesting. But it isn’t something new. Anyone with Animal Planet is aware.

I bet you get so much pussy dropping that line.

That last GIF is insane to think about.

Somehow, the orcas are aware of how their actions under the surface affect things above the surface.

That is some high level thinking.

Which is smarter?

The most intelligent orca..

Or...

The average OT poster?

How does an Orca actually kill a great white? Beat it to death with snout, crush/drag it around etc...

The article stated how they killed these great whites. Hit them; flip them on their back, which causes short-term paralysis; and they outfitted a pulley system on a cliff that they used to pull the shark out of the water to drown them.

The crazy part is being able to remove the great white's liver with "surgical precision."

1. Killer Whales are awesome
2. Great White Sharks are awesome too
3. As long as neither goes extinct, let there be war!

I was told the only thing Orcas had a problem with were some whales that blasted them with under water sounds that are loud as hell.

It is wild.

They seem to have developed a taste for G.W. Shark Liver.

A fisherman and his son had their boat attacked by an orca in Sitka this summer. The orca also tried to capsize the boat by dragging the anchor rope.

Littlefield posted the video of the encounter online as a cautionary tale, he said. His 11,000-pound aluminum boat held up to the orca, he said, but a smaller vessel or a wooden boat probably wouldn’t have stood a chance, he said.
“I wanted people to be aware it’s a possibility,” Littlefield said. “It’s always an adventure out there but this wasn’t one I was prepared to deal with.”

Problem is the great white is endangered. Nature and all but it isn’t great they are being killed by anything.

Uh, no. Great Whites stand no chance against orcas. They are weaker animals.

I went to Sea World when I was 7. The whale jumped out of the water and sat on the edge of the pool doing his thing. And it stared at me. I felt that thing inside my body. Ever since about once a year I have a nightmare where I am in this pool with it and cannot get out.

In college I went on an Alaskan cruise and these 2 orcas followed us every single day. I would sit on the back of the boat and watch them and they just swam with us all day every day. I couldn't enjoy the cruise because I knew they were there and it just haunted me. We would see a group of beached seals on a glacier and there would be blood splattered on the ice around it. Just fascinating as shite but so damn scary at the same time. Those things are the greatest killer in the world and I don't get near small boats for that reason.

I think the crazy part is that they know the great white has a liver and they are supposed to eat it.
