You'd have to ask an ENT
I don't know what the dysplasia looks like grossly
I wonder if they could do Pap smears on mouth and throat like they are now doing anally for homosexual males

Probably too much surface area to cover and likely to miss the dysplastic cells frequently.
There might be a stain that could be used during EGD.

That link doesn't exactly support your argument that this is something I should be worrying about.
And your assertion that the number of HPV related oral cancers cry rocketing in the last two decades isn't all that shocking for a virus that was discovered in 1956. Your basic claim is that since it was discovered that HPV can cause oral cancer, the number of HPV related oral cancer cases has gone up.
17 out of 200 strains are known or suspected to cause cancer.

What about esophageal cancers? Many of those happen without the precancerous changes of Barrett's Esophagus typical of cancer caused by reflux.

Read it in devita's Cancer 9th edition yesterday - doubt u have online access unless you're in medicine
are you sure you're not making the mistake in claiming the most new cases are the most cases in total?

The subset population in which the cancer has risen is what is alarming and shows strong link to oral sex
As well as being prob the same population of this message board
White male 30 to 50 who engaged in oral sex with many partners in their teens to 30s
That's the alarming increase

Actually, I've read where it can be transmitted from male to female via the glans. So, she is.

Not sure what you're asking
Barrett's is diff pathophys and normally adrnocarcinoma I believe
Whereas almost all hpv oral cancers are squamous cell

In a rather sobering thread, this made me laugh.

Are you freakin' kidding me?
How many is "many"?

Oh most certainly women can get it from oral sex
But the dramatic rise in the last two decades and that trend does not look to be changing is in young males

Many is as few as one person who had an hpv positive cancer type
Or it could be 1000
Just because you were exposed to this
Virus doesn't mean you will get cancer of the mouth
But the majority of mouth cancers now are caused by oral sex related hpv infection and it continues to grow

You answered it with that distinction.
So, if it's transmitted to the male's oral mucosa from vaginal mucosa, why can't it be transmitted from the male's oral mucosa to a female's oral mucosa through kissing?
