Huge news for both San Fran and Austin.

Oracle is a stalwart tech company with thousands of employees in the valley.

New wealth tax gets implemented and general hostile environment for business is running them out.

Damn, that's actually way bigger news than HP moving. Oracle is a far bigger and more influential tech company in 2020 than HP.

Link? This is fricking huge! Oracle is one of the top 10 (maybe 5) tech giants.

I hate Oracle as a company, but good on them, poor San Fran.

There are no news reports about this, I’m skeptical.

This is the problem. They leave California because of bad policy and vote that same policy in to Texas.

While I'm glad to see Cali reaping what it sows, this can't be all roses for Texas as it will bring the tech geek libtards with it.

The best part about this is these tech giants bring their democrat voters with them and ultimately change the government to one that will tax the hell out of them.

Then they move again.

My sister and her family have lived off of Lake Austin Blvd for about 16 years. It's pretty crazy what their house is worth now vs what they paid for it.

A bulk of employees can choose their office location, or continue to work from home part time or full time, the company said.

"In addition, we will continue to support major hubs for Oracle around the world, including those in the United States such as Redwood City, Austin, Santa Monica, Seattle, Denver, Orlando and Burlington, among others, and we expect to add other locations over time," Oracle said. "By implementing a more modern approach to work, we expect to further improve our employees' quality of life and quality of output."

so essentially they are just moving the corp designation from california to texas for tax purposes not necessarily new jobs

All these California, Democratic, Big companies moving to Texas is not a good thing. Not sure why everyone is happy about this.
