Old enough to be stuck in the past.

You paint such a rosy picture. Until a patient suffers a poor outcome because the education was less than an MD would have

How many poor outcomes come as the result of mistakes by MDs every year?

But online I'm out in Hollywood and I'm 6 foot 5

While I'll agree it's a "doctor". It would be good for ULM and the area in general.

ETA: medical errors are the third leading cause of death in the US, if you're concerned about patient safety maybe you should stop practicing.

You must be a lobbyist based on your sad position against increasing healthcare options in rural Louisiana
Having this in Monroe will impact your life, how???

I graduated from ULM. Our professors included a great variety of medical professionals, from pharmacologists to neurologists. They already have an extensive rotation program for pharmacists and it will be easy to incorporate DO student rotations into the existing relationships they have with facilities across the state.
I'm sure most physicians in the area will appreciate having the DO students rotating and helping out.
ULM will probably produce very effective DO's. You've offered no evidence of harm other than to your skewed sense of dignity.

I graduated from ULM, also. We had top notch professors.
Edit: if they can help people not take/get addicted to pain meds, I'm all for it

What he said.
You apparently do not understand everyone's role in healthcare & the importance of IPE/ IPP. YOU are the reason some patients have much poorer outcomes because you look at your degree as far superior to other healthcare professionals & do not respect their role in healthcare. Sometimes humility goes a long way. Contrary to your beliefs, humility & respect would be beneficial long term in terms of "patient safety" and financially- since that is the real reason you care so much about this topic.

Well said. As a medical professional I fully agree.

Lutz. Only half? Boy MDs suck then? Why not 4 years of patient care in school?
Posted on 6/3/17 at 10:07 pm to uptownsage
Cause they have to get their white coat first.

Humility is when you value the admissions decision and reapply with stronger scores to gain admission to the MD program
