frick you dude. Do you hate the poor and elderly of Central / North LA? Monroe needs this to help get LA from our current 50th ranking.

Shreveport blows.

Lol, aren't you one of the ones who was vehemently opposed to the idea of more Nurse practitioners?

The payments on that 2nd vacation house in Mankato Bay must be weighting heavy on your checkbook.

I go to an allopathic school. We've had DO's give us lectures.

Glad you're riled up about this. Probably the first time you've cared about something or someone in a while

Protect the practice of medicine in Louisiana

If a DO school helps improve access to PCPs in rural Louisiana then it will be improving medicine in La.

I'm not sure why you're arguing so vehemently against DO's. Isn't medicine supposed to be a field where everyone comes together, learns together and teaches each other for the betterment of the patient? So DO is a little different and in some cases a little more lax in their admission standards. Many believe that they are at a disadvantage when it comes to obtaining residency, but it's not like they aren't getting a residency somewhere, in some field, whether "competitive" or not. As long as they're accredited and the students are passing their boards, it shouldn't matter whether DO or MD.

Just an honest Oakdale MD eye doctor trying to look out for northeast Louisiana patients from his basement. All you people should read up on medical training, scores, schools etc, before you go to the "Doctor". A doctor is an MD
