so I would have to purchase an unlocked phone if I want an upgrade outside of buying directly from T-Mobile.

Haven’t bought a carrier (locked) phone in over 15 years. Always buy unlocked so you can hop on the best deal whoever may be offering it at the time.

I have had tmobile internet and wifi for awhile.

Best part was returning boxes to spectrum which was the monopoly.

You plug one box into the other boost thing and plug in the wall and it is a set rate of $70 is.

Go to tmobile internet put I n your address and see if available.

I have had it with AT&T and from what I hear, Verizon is not much better.

I think T-mobile runs on the Verizon network

Switched a year ago from AT&T. No regrets at all. Very straight forward and good customer service

Sort of. Mint rents T-mobile towers, and if traffic is congested, then Mint is deprioritized, and you get slower speeds with mint compared to T-mobile.

yes they say that.
As I said, i've had it for almost 2 years. the only place in BR it doesn't work is on Siegen Lane, as I assume that's where i'm getting deprioritized enough for me to notice it. Doesn't work inside Tiger Stadium, but I had the same problem with Verizon.
Wife has Visible (Verizon) and also has no complaints.
It's silly to pay for Verizon or T-Mobile when you can get basically the same reliability for cheaper through Mint and Visible.

I would venture to say they are better than AT&T and Verizon at this point. Not only that, the starlink partnership is a game changer if you do lose service or in very remote areas

signal strength maps

I don't get the retarded dance we always have to do with cell phone service threads. You can stand on one side of the street, and signal will be fine, you can walk a block and the signal sucks. On any carrier. In any city or town. The repair tech may have smoked too much weed last night and it may take him six hours to do a two hour job. Or not.

USE THE SIGNAL MAPS.

Yeah but the problem is most unlocked phones cost $100 more than ones locked into specific service providers.

They signed up with ASTS mobile also. A satellite company building out on the 40Mhz band.

Full data streaming with video call to your phone via satellite with no additional equipment. Pretty neat idea

Switched from ATT to Tmobile about 5 years ago. They offer 55 and over pricing on their plans which no one else did. I lowered my bill $25 a month.

Also included at no extra charge - Netflix, Hulu, Apple plus and mlbtv lower tiers.

You are 100% correct. I visited a store today and with 2 new phones, the 55+ plan on 2 lines including the satellite feature, my bill will be $180ish/month and locked at that rate for 5 years, down from $249/month with AT&T. As CSinLC said, u get extras at no charge. What sold me is the satellite feature. And, they have a 30 day free trial before you buy. Thanks all for the input.

Why do people loosely use this geographic region like this? Be more specific. You talking south central? Southwest? Southeast? I-10 corridor? Hwy 90 corridor? Hwy 190 corridor? I-12 corridor?

It’s a very wide stretching region with urban pockets and rural pockets. The opinion of one in Patterson is going to be different than a person in BR.

You might know the only a-hole to comment was you. Do you think I am a hermit and live in a hole. I specifically said south Louisiana because I will be using it from Lake Charles to Slidell on the south shore. Luckily I got enough good opinions from others that I can ignore your dumb comments.
