California has more poor people than Louisiana does.

They have the most homeless people in the country. So, they most likely have more poor people than every state.

Oh really? Poor states can get by without federal dollars? You’re saying that with a straight face?

Yes, you know who couldn't get by without it?

California.

There are numb-nuts that post regularly in OT, using "poors" as an insult.

You remember when a bunch of mountain trash built a fully functioning road and bridge in North Carolina with tractors, pallets, and trailers after FEMA couldn’t get basic supplies to them after the floods and told them it couldn’t be done?

I don't believe living in a caliphate with religious rulers under sharia law is democracy.

Which is why Islam is not compatible with democracy.

While the south may have changed over the last 200 years… our pride has not.

To answer the question why south Mississippi started to recover before fema got here was pride. She could’ve done some research and would see people coming together while other places were waiting for fema.

Imagine thinking that the federal government was better or more efficient at ANYTHING than state or local governments, communities, or private industry. WNC would've been back on its feet so much quicker with just a fraction of the money that gets spent on the bloat that is the feds.

Their absolute fascination with more and larger government is astonishing to me.

She said poor. She meant "dumb" and/or "incompetent", which is droll considering how dumb and incompetent she appeared during the interview.

This is nothing new. Typical Democrat, they think that people are too stupid to run their lives therefore they must do it for you.

This is always the upper east coast narrative until a stray cat 1 hits New Jersey. Then it is an insurmountable tragedy that takes far more federal dollars to solve / impacted person than the gulf coast gets.

The Fedgov doesn't have any money unless they take it from us or borrow it (which is taking from us in the future).

They took slaves from plantations too. Can’t leave that part out. There are groups that have more legitimate complaint about opportunities in the South than white Southerners post Civil War. Imagine if white men had to deal with Jim Crow, the complaining and moaning would never stop. How many generations of victims do we need?
