Ideally not. But if the alternative is lying in bed curled in a fetal ball all day..

That's exactly what it did to me. I couldn't enjoy anything. Benzos work much better for me.

Same experience. Zoloft works for me while Lexapro made my anxiety a lot worse. Only time and trial/error will tell if one works for you.

If it's for anxiety, it worked great, I just didn't feel anything else (I was emotionless pretty much). It got me through the 6 months or so I needed it.

I don't get these statements. These neurotransmitters are already used by us everyday. Some people use less than may be necessary so these drugs compensate for that.

I would advise against any drug that you take daily and changes the way your brain works at the most basic level unless you have given up all hope

As others said, it may or may not help. Prozac has the least side effects in my experience with anxiety controlling meds ( taking them).

Another tip: When feeling overly anxious, take deep breaths, and hold them for three seconds at the top before SLOWLY exhaling them. It is a natural mechanism that calms down your body, gets more oxygen going to your brain, facilitating a cool down in anxiety.

I learned that from my shrink a few years back, learned to control my anxiety with it, and haven't refilled a prescription since.
