Except for pizza shack. Pizza shack is one the best pizza joints I have every had. I wish they had one in Lafayette.

My mother grew up in Opelousas on Market St. I still have relatives there and around. My grandparents eventually moved to Lawtell.

My mom grew up in Lawtell on 190 by the WW2 museum. My grandparents are gone but I still have extended family there.

Born there. Moved to lafayette after 5th grade. Dad still works there.

Stepdad is from Washington. Had my first Evangeline Maid sammich at 8 years old.

Raised in Opelousas. OCHS grad '75. AA State Football Champs '74-'75.

TH Harris grad, left in '76, married in '77. Moved to BR in '79 and been here ever since.

Still go back to SLP for sausage, Mama's Fried Chicken and Kelly's Meat Block.
