anybody here ever do this? If so, was it legit and what website? I checked out a few and some of them look like they want to sign you up on a "program" Not a lot of options in my rural area.

Congrats on the divorce.

Hide some of your money in the Caymans now.

I'm sure the website loses access to your wife's webcam after the sessions.

I do it.

We can all facetime, I charge $120 for first appointment, which covers the first hour. Any additional hours per appointment is $80.

Both parties have to want the marriage to work if it’s gonna last. Online counseling seems a bit too millennial and “quick fix”.

"Indeed, rural area options are limit. Even in large metro area it can be hard to find someone decent since a lot of therapists do not return calls, are ""full"" or do online therapy only. I am not sure what state you are located at, but if you are in Arizona, you can consider getting a consultation from aztherapyquest.com decide if it's right for you. They offer the Gottman Method couples therapy, which is extremely comprehensive and you will have 90%+ of your problems laid out in front of you by 4th session. You can also consider someone who offers EFT. Good luck in your endeavors and as much patience as possible!

You can always try an actual therapist or marriage counselor who utilizes zoom and you can have virtual appointments. One would think that would be a better option than one of those programs since in person isn’t a good option for you.
Just look up a therapist in any major city and likely they will be able to do that for you.

Marriage Helper is the best one out there. Dr. Joe Beam.

I'll say this though. No amount of counseling will work if the other person isn't ready. You have to work on yourself first and foremost before you attempt to work on your marriage. If you haven't done the work on yourself first, this would be a good place to start.

We all have our own faults, insecurities, and things that we screw up on with our spouse that we may not even be aware of. Many times the foundation in which we were built is faulty or has cracks in it. Our parents did the best they could but even they have issues.

Start by looking inward first before you look outward. Change starts from within. If you want to change your marriage, change yourself. Only 1 person has to change in order to change the equation in your marriage. Even with this said, I'll go back to what I previously said. If the other person isn't ready, they aren't ready. And they may never be ready. But you will improve --- for when they are ready or perhaps in a new relationship whenever that time comes.

TLDR. Go to counseling for yourself. If your spouse is in agreement and wants to attend, go. If you find that you don't have a connection with your counselor or therapist, find another one until you feel a strong connection.

I prefer in-person meetings. Non-verbal communication is important to me.

The best thing that anyone can do when going through a crisis is to work on themselves first and foremost. You can’t fix anyone else when you’re broken.

That’s a little steep, considering it will only take a few minutes to convince her that her husband can’t be anywhere as bad as you
