He’s already done a collaboration with makayla Phillips, who got a golden buzzer last year. Before he ever auditioned for AGT. He’s a known commodity. They made it seem like ‘autistic kid enjoys singing around his house and now wants to show the world’ but in reality he’s been making money singing.

I was left speechless tonight and I don't say that lightly. How long before someone says he's faking the autism? This young man is a miracle and proof that music is a gift from God.

I don’t have enough info to know if his medical ailments are legit or not, but my main beef is with AGT portraying this boy as an amateur who has just emerged from the shadows
He has his own website and semi-popular YouTube channel. He is established.
This isn’t Susan Boyle, a reclusive, agoraphobic woman who actually was a complete nobody who was hiding an incredible gift, while finally having the courage to showcase it.
This boy knows he is gifted and has been active for some time.

I watch AGT on Hulu every season. They've definitely gone to a showcase theme more than a talent search theme, if that makes sense.
That being said, I don't think they're pulling the wool over the eyes of the audience. The magician last year was well established, but his act was taken mainstream by AGT. I don't believe that's disingenuous.

Have to agree. Kind of the point in test marketing an act before sending them off for a long term lucrative deal for both parties. It's one long drawn out commercial. Which is smart.

Maybe that's the vibe I was catching. It just didn't seem...genuine.
Regardless the dude has an amazing voice and I wish him incredible success. Super talented, obviously.
