One of the best feelings ever is when

You put in your resignation and give your employer a two weeks notice and there's nothing they can hold over your head anymore. I've been on the same job for 12 years and I'm within my last week. It surely feels good that no one can pressure me into doing a damn thing anymore. I know this will only last for two weeks, but I'm enjoying the hell out of it while I'm able to.

So he worked there for 12 years, had the courtesy to put in a 2 week notice and you think the boss would be a bad reference?

I never said I was acting a arse. Besides, I never have used a previous boss to get any of my jobs. Most of the time I don't know how to get in contact with them anyway to provide a reference.

You had a huge dinner of steak and a side spinach salad. That next morning you drink a nice big cup of coffee and about 5 minutes later you are completely cleared out and feeing lighter than a feather

I recently had the pleasure of resigning from a micromanager and agree that it was a great feeling knowing that I was moving on to the next chapter. I took 3 weeks off in between in order to recharge and would highly recommend doing the same.
