On grocery store topic, why can't grocery collectors for online orders do that at night?

Big carts all around the store are a PITA.
I appreciate the convenience to the customers, but so many of those stores have hours of closed time when that can be done without interruptions.

This is dumb as hell. I do my online order during the day for same day pickup.

Just have your husband pick them up for you.

Because that would cause staffing issues and cut into profit margins. I imagine you wouldn't be thrilled if the stores closed down for a couple of hours in the middle of the day to grab those orders and didn't let other shoppers in

Your groceries don't have built out areas for cold storage of online orders?

Are you having trouble getting your electric cart down the frozen dinner aisle at Walmarks?

Considering how many people utilize pick up and delivery through multiple groups (i.e. Instacart, Kroger, etc.) that would be one very large cold storage area.

Wait.... you think all the grocery chains, who are so fricking greedy they don't even turn on all self check out machines to save money on the single person it takes to watch them all, are building out cold storage areas in all their stores specifically for online orders? Really?

Because it's same day service.
Question for you: Why don't you do your shopping early in the AM or late in the PM to avoid crowds?
