I wonder what in the world they were doing out that way?

A lake in the summer time, I wouldn't doubt one of his friends or her friends maybe had a lake house they were partying at for the weekend? This was pretty routine for people in Auburn summer school.

Or, you could be right. If he wanted to kill her though, not sure why it would take 8 shots and do such a bad job of hiding the body. Surprise her with a shot to the back of the head when she isn't looking.

I’ll give you a hint,

Years ago when you were pulled over for “street racing” your Cherokee against a Mustang on Bluebonnet Ext, I was in the back seat with a case of Natty Lights clutched between my legs. AK in the front seat LOL

BAHAHAHA what’s up dude

I believe that was 2006 at Christmas break on a Sunday night daiquiri cafe. We saw Perilloux there that night smoking cigs and having an older white gentleman hand him cash for video poker.

This was right after he won us the SEC title game.

Cop just let me go and didn’t show up for court and I was clearly intoxicated. God I was a stupid kid. Ticket was for 106 in a 40. The mustang dude got 160 in a 40

And we didn't have to pay a dime.

Not where they found her. There is basically nothing around there

If you're thinking Lake Martin, this is nothing like Lake Martin.

Lol AK are initials for a mutual friend. Not a “high powered assault” rifle

It's possible the communications may have crossed from another deputy or another county since the channel covers the 2 adjacent sheriff offices, but I doubt that. what's the chance of another deputy doing CPR at the same time? I went back and listened to it again and sounded like the same deputy who stayed on the scene discussing it with dispatch.

was wondering about that...

7.62 x 39 a "high powered" round???? not compared to 7.62 x 51 or 7.62R x 54....

Does it sell gas? Because a lot of gas stations sell gas even though they are closed.

Google maps, while blurry, makes their gas pumps look like late 70's gas pumps. I don't think those had the technology to take cards.

It is more likely that the video cameras saw them pass by on the road.

Are they going to do a press conference at some point?

Ha ok. Well what about a farm or something else?

I have no idea obviously, and this guy by all accounts is both an idiot and a sociopath. But just seems odd he'd drive her out somewhere on purpose and do such a crappy job of killing her and disposing of the body if he did any planning at all.

I am surprised they haven't already. They gathered a lot of information in a timely fashion and made an arrest. SOP is for them to hold a presser and praise the different departments that were involved.

They did a good job, with the quickness. It was all enabled by a deputy tripping over her location, but it is still a W.

Sardis is essentially a big mud pit. Not really developed on the shore and used as a flood zone.

Roosevelt basically ordered a bunch of jobless Mississippians to dig a hole and get paid to do it by the government during the Great Depression.

Now Ole Miss kids bring their trucks to the South side of it and party and shoot shotguns. The north side is a totally different animal (where this girl was found).

Sardis is one ugly lake, but it can be a ton of fun.

This is what the shoreline looks like once you drive through ruts and wooded areas to get there (at least on Oxford side):

I turkey hunt not far from where she was found. I can't think of any reason they would be over that way

Knowing the area really well, it makes absolutely no fricking sense.

I really hope he takes a plea deal and confesses because I need to know the exact timeline and what he was thinking.

Man, we used to see turkeys absolutely everywhere in the fields on the way out to Sardis.

I bet you clean up during turkey season.

Why is where she grew up, and went to High school a thing? It has ZERO bearings on any of this.

I had a roomate that would turkey in the mornings before class. He never shot one of them . I did know others that hunted them pretty regularly and it seemed pretty hit and miss. Turkeys must know whats up during when in season.

Except they had him in custody on Sunday afternoon and never even made that public . They have been very tight lipped so far
