Without knowing the real details, it seems as if he did everything he could to be caught. He would have been caught had he left 90% less of a trail.

Dan didn’t try to murder the cop. Cop punched him and jumped in the drivers window because he wouldn’t turn the car off and he hit the accelerator in a panic and the cop got sucked under the car.

Yep. He’s out in 10 or so I believe.

Still in prison, I think. I've been told he got extended time for smoking weed in the joint. Not sure if that's accurate or not

Well he was in parchman for 20 years and I’m sure weed helped pass the time. It’s supwr common in prison, especially outdoor ones with windows open like Angola and Parchman.

Dude, they are out in open space outside all the time and can smoke cigarettes. Their cells have open windows to blow out of.
These people get cell phones and heroin needles in jail. I used to smoke weed in my bedroom at my parents house and didn’t get caught,

Yea, I guess I know all that. Just can’t get past my kindergarten view of what jail is like.
