So she is out by herself presumably 11 pm to midnight, walks up to the door of a bar and turns around to walk away?
That seems like odd behavior. Do girls in their early 20’s ever go out alone? They didn’t back in my day.

That’s what I didn’t say here but exactly what I was thinking

Curious if suspect was at that bar? Seems probable she went to talk to him, didn't want to pay the cover, so she went home. Texting him on the way, he left and came to pick her up. Purely speculation of course.

It would seem that she went to meet someone and thought better of it. Then again, she certainly ended up meeting the wrong person at the wrong time.

I just read through this thread, as well as a couple of the articles on this story.
If the text messages are to be believed, she was trying to talk to him in person, but he was outright ignoring/avoiding her.
She could have been out alone trying to find him in person. Maybe he was at the bar with his girl, and she was just too nice of a person to confront him and blow it up with others present, or maybe he wasn't there. That's just my thinking.

Maybe to meet friends or meet the murderer?
She probably didnt want to pay cover to be in a bar where she wouldnt be drinking

What is white claw? Is this what I should use to attract white women?

To meet people on the square in Oxford that are already out? Um, yes.
Its not a big city. Its 5 minutes to everywhere.
Maybe she had to do school work. Maybe she wasn't feeling good then changed her mind. Maybe she wanted to talk to someone that wasn't responded to her texts/calls and she knew where they were.
Also, her not wanting to pay cover makes sense if she's pregnant. Who wants to pay cover to go into a bar where they can't drink?

This might be the first time I've seen you seriously comment on anything. It's weird and doesn't feel right. I don't like change.

Yeah, I’m not Jimmy McNulty but the bar thing makes it seem like maybe she was a side hit for this guy and she was going to talk to him/confront him at the bar and had second thoughts and walked away only to end up having him come pick her up later because he knew things were coming to a head.
My only question is how this idiot could think the way out of this problem was to kill her knowing he was gonna be cuffed and stuffed the second her phone was accessed?

He probably thought he was a criminal genius or that daddy’s money would bail him out.

Well, the rumor is that he was arrested at/near the Memphis airport.
Posted on 7/23/19 at 4:31 pm to Scoop
probably didnt think "im gonna kill her" until he had been drinking and at that point, you really arent thinking stuff through

It almost sounds like there’s a chance that she was killed by a random Uber driver, but the boy was arrested because it sounds like there’s a motive there

Still may not be that significant.
Reason I say that both major routes from Oxford to Memphis go right past MIA. Those are I55 and I22, which both join at I240 with MIA in between.
Could he have been fleeing? Yes. But both roads from Oxford to Memphis go right by the airport.

This is all message board fodder so I'll apologize ahead of time, but nothing in those texts makes me believe she is pregnant. She may be, but those also read like a desperate person text. Especially where she is putting ultimatums on having to leave town, not be able to do stuff, etc. The guy doesn't want you to have a kid, saying stuff like that doesn't make it better it makes it worse. Those read more like she is trying to play him to me.
This guy clearly wanted nothing to do with a relationship with her. He looks to have another girlfriend.
In 2019, I don't know why you would keep a baby for a one night stand or summer fling. Your morals aren't that high to get an abortion if you are having a summer sex fling. Not to mention, likely having sex without birth control.
I'm just saying I've seen some chicks do some crazy shite to get a guy or get a guy back that was worse then those texts. Again she didn't deserve anything no matter what, I was just commenting on the texts actually appearing to seem like she was pregnant.
This is truly despicable. You really need to evaluate your moral compass douchebag.

His father says his son is innocent and he has evidence. Looks like we need to just wait for all the facts to come out.

Why is that? Doesn't sound like that at all to me.
I think she was blowing him up, it was either real and it was completely encapsulating her life like any pregnancy does to any women or she was catfishing him. Doesn't matter either way.
But she was blowing him up, and he wanted nothing to do with it. She wouldn't leave him alone, she went to the bar to confront him but the cover was either too high or he wasn't there. So she went home blowing him up. One message said that she was about to leave to go out of town.
He finally had enough, and in a fit of rage went to pick her up and tell her to get over this he wanted nothing to do with it. She wouldn't let it go. He got angry and hit her, she threatened to go to the police. So he saw his life falling apart and in anger he shot her. Took her out to some old lake place he knew about and dumped her body, then ran off.
