Dude could be happy in New Orleans, we never repair a street, but I suspect there would be a couple of hundred thousand other annoyances.

The kicker is the pickup truck didn’t even belong to anyone on the work crew. Belonged to the son of his across the street neighbor.

Truck wasn't even on his property...it is in the right-of-way.

That's the upside of being old. You go out and do something really stupid, the police assume you have dementia and take you home. A 30 year old doing that goes straight to jail.

People fail to understand that.

They’ll plant shite in the servitude and then get butthurt when it gets ripped up

So if it's not mine why do I have to maintain it?

“This is what happens when you frick a stranger in the arse”

Also, if you want someone to move their vehicle, is slashing their tires the most productive form of protest?

You don’t. Normal people choose to, though.

ETA: Let me rephrase that: if you have a servitude, you own it but when you came to possess the land, the servitude was in place on your property (or you later agreed to it later) agreeing to adhere to the restrictions of said servitude.
But typically the last few feet next to the road belong to the government or neighborhood or whatever.

You can choose to not keep that up as you don’t own own it at all.

You don’t, but don’t count on the gov’t to keep
It up in a timely manner. That’s why I prefer rear servitudes.
