That's a very good way to look at it.

Imagine if that was your grandma you saw that happen to. I can't imagine how pissed I would be.

Let's take bets on where this happened. I'm going with:

McKinney, Texas.

Let me put it this way. If a fiftysomething-year-old black lady was being mouthy and swaying her head back-and-forth and she got picked up and thrown in the pool even by the black guy, this board with errupt in laughter. People would be asking for "IN" gifs. I know it's true. You know it's true. This whole board knows it's true.
If he didn't slip with her and let her slam on the concrete first, I would agree with you

I think the OT would find it hilarious a sassy black lady got thrown in the pool. But having her slam on the conrete, and then still throw her in would not get OT support

I agree with most of your comments. What bothers me the most though is that this wasn't just one person committing a crime, it was a large group of ppl who thought it was funny, and encouraged it. That's a bit disconcerting, don't you think?

There's this concept in my line of work called "effective challenge." The best way to determine if something has been effectively challenged/controlled is to look at the outcomes.

So if the black community "challenges" the amount of violence being committed in their community, it hasn't been effective at all.

I think it's POSSIBLE that random peace marches aren't going to change those communities. Nor are they CAPABLE of changing those communities. Effective challenge in this case is taking responsibility for your children and to stop pretending the absence of black fathers isn't a massive drain on society. It's PROBABLY going to take a vast reduction in the number of single black mothers who raise children with literally no male role model before we see anything change.

Judging by the manner and attire of the youths in the video, I place it somewhere in Florida.

Tangie you are full of shite blaming this board for what happened. you and gravy have to always be the victim regardless of what happened.

I already said it wasn't effective on a large scale. And I also said that whatever white people are doing to try and fix it isn't effective either on a large scale. Sure there are a few stories here in there from mentors and what not who most probably have saved a kid from a life of crime. But on a large scale nothing any race has done has been effective

Point to me where I said or even remotely implied that anyone other than the person and people in the video were responsible.

And how would I playing a "victim"? You don't know anything about my race, do you?

never going to happen as long as the government pays for these folks to live from cradle to grave. hell, you're INCENTIVIZED to have more kids, kids you can't raise or afford.

What I was saying is the story wouldn't matter because that clip would be playing on headline news decrying the horrible racists that attacked a poor confused black woman and tried to kill her.

This plays completely different in the media if the races are swapped.

Yep and a Federal government that enables this disfunction from generation to generation. Quit rewarding single moms and drug dealing sperm donors. Cap the amount of welfare one woman can collect on children say after 3 kids your welfare doesn't increase. Watch how fast they stop having more than 3 kids. Start raising their kids instead of of leaving them for society to deal with.

Yeah. Could be. These pool party promotions where rules are broken are all over the Dallas area though. So i played the odds.

probably need to find a way to monetarily incentivize those on government assistance not to have more than a certain number of children
