They belonged to my father. I would like to scan them and then post them here since football season is over. My question is how or where would you go to do that? They are in good shape but I would have to be careful with the bindings.
thanks for any ideas.

If you scan it, I'd like to get a copy. My grandfather was at LSU during that time and I would like to find his picture.

I would give the pdf copies to all who wanted them if I could figure out how to do it.
I guess I better post this on the tech board

Lots of swastikas in them.

Surprisingly, some of the cartoons were pretty risqué.

the 1932/1933 Gumbo does have swastikas in the border on the cover pages. Amazing since this was before Hitler came to power.

Were they recovered from the Stadium Dorms ?

The swastika is an ancient symbol that had meaning before the Nazis

They were my father's yearbooks. they still have that funky old brown paper book cover on them that they used to used back then.

Do you have a color scanner at your office?

Ideally you would need a large flatbed scanner. I don't think you would want to disassemble them. Maybe try a blueprint place.

I have access to Gumbos between 1946-51 when my dad was in school.
No, it didn't take him 6 years for an undergrad.
He got B.S. in Physics in 1949 and Masters in Physics in 1951/

These guys would probably be the best guys to ask, esp. with irreplaceable books. If you like to build stuff, some of the basic diy scanners aren't too bad of a build. Even if you want to go with a non diy option, they have probably tried it and can help you avoid many of the unforeseen problems you may encounter
