Gov. Kevin Stitt and other lawmakers reacted Friday after accusations that nude women were shown on a TV behind State Superintendent Ryan Walters during an Oklahoma State Department of Education executive session.

Here is what the super said

quote:

Walters responded to the accusations Friday evening, saying, “Some of these board members are blatantly dishonest and cannot hide their political agenda. It is disappointing that they are more interested in creating distractions than getting work done for Oklahoma families.”

You know, that’s not exactly a denial.

It’s amazing what people will do with their employer issued technology

Sounds like whoever was controlling the TV was sandbagging him.

If he wasn’t in control, you would think he would have said that, along with announcing the suspension / termination of whoever it was

I thought at first this was seen in the background during a video conference with the board, but it was in person which is supposedly why it wasn’t seen by all members.

quote:

The state Education Board was in Walters' office for an executive session to discuss teacher licensing, student attendance appeals and other sensitive issues. Walters chairs the board. Deatherage and Carson, who were seated next to each other, said the TV screen was not visible to all attendees.

It is not known who was controlling the TV or why the content was shown.

Carson said she thought at first the women must have been wearing bodysuits but then realized she was wrong. “I saw them just walking across the screen, and I’m like, ‘No'," she said, adding, "I’m sorry I even have to use this language, but I’m like, ‘Those are her nipples.’"

Carson said she called out for the TV to be turned off. Deatherage and Carson said Walters immediately rose from the table and turned the television off.

Possible. But what benefit is there of having it behind you? You don't get to enjoy it and it diverts attention away from your speech.

Define nude women. Could have been renaissance paintings for all I know.

I’m sure he didn’t intentionally show it during meeting.

Maybe he was intending to play something else but he hit the wrong file or something.

But it was still shown on his employer device. That makes him responsible unless he can prove someone set him up or hacked him etc

Edit: Nevermind this was the regular meeting I think, and the nudity possibly seen was in a closed executive meeting.

Leaving link to the regular board meeting that day. Not sure if the executive meeting was afterwards or not.

There is a lot of reporters in there, so I am not sure what he and the another member near him saw that others saw. It might not have been in his actual office.

This supposedly happened in executive session

No media members would be in executive session

I saw that later. The link in another article referencing the executive meeting with the alleged nudity on a tv pointed to the regular meeting instead of the executive.

If they had the regular public meeting and then later went to a closed executive like the the more local boards I have experience with do then issue somewhat depends if anyone else could have been viewing anything during the regular meeting and also on what kind of “channel” and nudity were being shown on the tv (like if earlier programming was something completely benign and just left on during regular meeting with the program with the nudity just following earlier program without actually being turn to on purpose by anyone or if just flat out full time porn or close enough to porn).

This seems to be a story designed as a hit over something of substance. Fake outrage is just not going to work for the left. They support guys fricking in the streets like dogs and open drug markets.
