Wow. Can't believe it's been that long. So tragic. The child in that photo was deceased, correct? I just can't even imagine.....I hate that children get drawn into such horrific things for no reason other than being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

A chick I worked with called the shot from the get go. Said it was in retaliation. Mind was blown that day.

As was the Waco fire (25 years ago). The Columbine anniversary is tomorrow.

The week of April 14-20 seems to have an inordinate amount of tragedies:

Va Tech shooting - 4/16
Boston Marathon bombing - 4/15
Titanic sinks - 4/15

Sad day 23 and 25 years ago. Prevent the first and you don't have the second.

For those who care - there's a really good doc aptly called 'Oklahoma City' on Netflix. Focuses on McVeigh and how he went bonkers after the Army and where that happened.

Mount Carmel?? what was it?

The government frick up in Waco where the ATF tried to have their nice little video tape forceful entry into a gun selling defensive cult to boost their budget. It failed and the FBI hard handed response led to the burning of the compound.

Yep. McVey said the bomb was “retaliation” for the Governemt storming and buring out the Branch Dividians in Waco.

Yes, little girl died. That pic brings back some shock and onions. That was really my first "9/11" moment I guess. 19 other kids gone as well.

We justveatched it. Very good doc.

I think it was just a couple of the few dozen children at the day care that lived.

That alone is enough to make me see a perpetrator tortured incessantly, let alone the adults.

Pure dumb luck that McVeigh was already captured when his identity was linked to OKC.
