Looks like a drilling or workover rig, but that's a guess.

ETA: If new pics are right, it's a production platform.

With respect for the injured . . . .

I'm going to guess some kind of upset that required a crew to respond quickly. I'm thinking something like a high pressure alarm in a separator, or a high level warning on a condensate tank. Seems like otherwise they would have waited for daylight.

Im on a natural gas gathering/transmission platform with 16 people right now. Fieldwood production next door probably has 8-12 POB. Seems pretty common.
