Shook the windows, to my trailer, in Kenner.

Looks like a drilling or workover rig, but that's a guess.
ETA: If new pics are right, it's a production platform.

A thread "Load Boom" is not much of a title for thread about a platform exploding, but thanks for bumping my thread.
In my defense, it was seconds after it happened. I didn't know what the hell it was. Now we know. Next time I'll be super specific in my thread titles.

That looks like a production platform. No tower, no racks.

If that's it, I totally agree, production platform.

The multimillion dollar question.

Are those tanks fiberglass or steel?

With respect for the injured . . . .
I'm going to guess some kind of upset that required a crew to respond quickly. I'm thinking something like a high pressure alarm in a separator, or a high level warning on a condensate tank. Seems like otherwise they would have waited for daylight.

Looks like Titanium tanks on a drill ship platform rig

Im on a natural gas gathering/transmission platform with 16 people right now. Fieldwood production next door probably has 8-12 POB. Seems pretty common.
