University. Someone should do a documentary on how racist some of the student body is here at Ohio State, let alone, sexually racist, and how sexual racial preference here is overwhelmingly a slap in the face to beautiful ethnic students.

Hmmm...feeling some mixed race couples may need some safe space on campus from these ethnic racists.

You know, I found it so funny during the super bowl performance of Formation that Beyoncé was bragging about how "she like her baby hair in baby hair and afros" (whatever the frick that means)

And then how

Look...there's a difference

The schools beofre this have probably been terrified of being sued or being painted in a bad light by national media.

If this picks up steam and is applauded, I bet we see more and more schools go this route. Just needed someone to set the pace.

This.

We demand the administration of the Ohio State University be responsive to community calls for justice, transparency and democratic process by meeting at least one of the previously established campaign demands below.

OSU Divest: Divest from Caterpillar Inc., Hewlett Packard and G4S due to their involvement in well-documented human rights abuses in the Occupied Palestinian Territories and across the globe.

United Students Against Sweatshops: Immediately cease all negotiations of the Comprehensive Energy Management Project. The university must maintain in-house operation of its energy systems, ensure that all workers in the energy systems will continue to work for the university, and ensure student led sustainability measures are implemented.

Real Food OSU: Sign the Real Food Campus Commitment. Ensure the administration work with Real Food OSU through the entire implementation of the Real Food Campus Commitment, in place of, or as a means of attaining, the university sustainability goal of increased “production and purchase of locally and sustainably sourced food to 40% by 2025.”

I would have loved to have been in the room when the university president first read this ridiculous garbage.

Just show how long overdue this response is. There is hope for the future.

I've read thru the first 2 pages and didn't see what the protests were about. What were they about?

It's about time the administrators started acting like adults.

Why the overreaction? What about the First Amendment?

Some of their demands were over the top, I admit, but so is the administration's response.

You have a right to free speech but you don't have a right to the consequences of your free speech.

Am I doing it right comrade?

I think we call that "personal preference." Race would be one of hundreds of factors people look at when finding a partner.

It was the one demand/comment that I thought was somewhat absurd.

Unless the consequence is retaliation for exercising those rights by a governmental unit, e.g. the school

If universities had uniform, blind admissions standards there's a good chance we don't even really run into these problems.
