When she returned on June 16, she found Jailyn dead and called police, authorities said.

Imagine being the police officers who showed up to find the starved and lifeless body of an 18 month year old kid. That will be a horrific image they will have to live with for the rest of their lives.

Ya know I truly would like to hear what she has to say. I want to hear did she really think she would be ok? She cant be this stupid.

“‘I am not trying to justify my actions, but nobody knew how much I was suffering and what I was going through,’ Candelario said through an interpreter.”

Then she had the nerve to say “God and my daughter have forgiven me.”

Subhuman trash.

Let’s be real here, that life sentence is really a death sentence. She’s gonna be murdered in prison once her fellow inmates find out what she’s in there for.

Did the boyfriend not notice the kid as he was , er, getting to know the madre? Did he not wonder that she never called home to check on her child?

Did the Father even know he had a daughter?

Absolutely. But actually I’d give her a bite of bread and 1 sip of water everyday for the rest of her life. Enough to keep her alive but in extreme mental and physical pain. Prison food is too good for her, don’t let her sleep, and if you do, on the concrete with no blankets

I can't even imagine what could possibly pass through a person's mind to do something like this to any child, much less their own.

Agreed…on one in their right mind would do that. As much as I want to be pissed, I am sure she is crazy as shite.

This doesn’t even make sense what did she expect was going to happen when she called 911? wtf

Did she think someone was watching the kid?

Cases like this are why we need the death penalty. And we need it carried out in a timely manner. This woman needs to ride the lightning.

I think that is too quick for her. I agree with the death penalty, but I think letting her die in the same manner as her child would be appropriate. Just my opinion.

She’s obviously has severe mental issues. Unfortunately our societies compassion for the mentally ill is a big weakness and now we get to pay to keep her alive for the rest of her life when really we just need to take the trash out.

In colonial days in a capital case, execution was carried out in 10 days.

It kills me thinking about the horror that baby felt.

She could’ve been put up for adoption and made a childless family very happy.

Hope that fricking takes a fisting line everyday in prison. There’ll be women on her prison that miss their children will pulverize her.

That would be justice.
