Difference is that he's a public figure who is supposed to be impartial, and this makes him appear biased against certain groups.

Also, he ragged on Arkansas and the backwards, inbred folks living there.

Which is pretty fricking important if your running for office of any kind.

however, i do think it's a little hypocritical that these dudes that are condemning this dude for talking about liking women and stuff

Well the guy is a judge and is held to a higher regard than some guy who does roofing for a living.

So when he is on here calling women whores and sluts and talking about gay people the way he has, I wouldnt call that "liking" women and stuff.

You dont find it odd that a judge, lets repeat that, a judge is a poster on TD and has no problem telling people he is a judge and he posts shite like that?

Being impartial as a judge doesn't mean you can't believe strongly about something. It just means you must be fair in your application of the law.

Nah. Most people in Arkansas can't even read, much less know what the internet is.

Doesn't matter if your a judge or POTUS or a county commissioner!! You can believe strongly about anything... But when you do dumb things with that kind of leadership/public office people will find out.

It's not about outing this guy. Hope he does well. I'm just relaying the news. I have no dog in the fight.

The guy should be able to post anonymously on a message board without fear of it prohibiting him from making a living.

Well the first start would be.....don't put judge at the end of the name.

I'm just saying this is minor stuff. I've heard and read way worse from the legal community.

What about the judge in PA who was taking kickbacks for sending juvenile offenders to a particular detention center? Now THAT'S an outrage!

Agree 100%. Why didn't he do that? Why did he make it obvious who he was?

You kind of screw that up when you post details that make it easy enough for someone who wants to frick you over by outing your activities on the Internet.

I agree. He didn't appear too concerned with anonymity though. His post history indicated a man that really wasn't fit for the position he held. I'm sure there are multiple judges that root for lsu, but don't find themselves on an lsu website leaking information or bragging about dropping the gavel on people that haven't plead their case yet though.

He could have voiced his opinion here without relating it to his job. Few people that post here mention where they work, especially elected officials. Dude has judge in his user name.

i realize this website is no group of dudes at a bbq with beer, and i realize that "public" people find themselves in greater scrutiny than roofers, but as long as the guy does his job correctly i don't really mind. as long as it doesn't affect me personally. not that i'll be hiring roofers anytime soon but i wouldn't mind them saying stuff like that either, as long as the roof gets put on right.

of course, I'm not exactly this guy's district that votes for him, so i understand if they don't like his opinions

what i was saying is that for someone to catch on to his tigerdroppings posts it either was 1. somebody that worked for him and got fired or 2. somebody that creeps the internet all day for any trace of evidence

which do you think it was?

Probably somebody on the other side of the campaign. But, you would think as a judge running for office wouldn't take a chance like posting on a message board.. People get paid to dig up dirt.
