Truth. It so fascinating.

It's one of the more remarkably bizarre stories I've seen in some time.
The unknown leads to the bizarre.
Perhaps there was a cabin fire, suspension of electrical and pressurization, and the plane just flew until it was out of fuel, with the passengers unconscious.

If the plane blew up or crashed, it would have crashed in a heavy shipping area in the pre dawn morning.
Wouldnt a huge fireball in the sky or fire ball hitting the ocean be easily seen from an island or passing ship in the darkness of the morning?
Plane obviously didnt crash on land. Would have found the pinging data recorders by now.
This is all so strange

I saw a chart where it possibly could have flown all the way to Africa.
It may never be found.

Has anyone seen this? From the crowd-searching site.
Kinda interesting imo. I keep going back and forth between looks like a ship and looks like a plane.
What sayeth the OT?

For me, this scenario has the least amount of holes and requires minimal leaps of faith

Assuming there was a fireball,

Why were there no emergency calls? That's the thing that I can't get over.

This reminds me of the pilot for Lost.

Where is that presumably located?
Posted on 3/11/14 at 6:01 pm to tgrgrd00
I think it is a boat. Looks like clouds are what supposedly appears to be the wing.

Hard to have much of a fireball with no fuel....

They had a reporter on NBC riding in a c-130 searching for wreckage and said they covered 30 sq miles in 8 hours. The search area is about 10,000 sq miles. It might be a minute before they find anything.

You wouldn't even need the whole plane incapacitated, just the flight deck assuming the plane was out of range of passengers' cell phones. With the cockpit locked down and the pilots incapacitated, would the flight attendants have the capacity to use a radio or set off an emergency beacon?
OTOH, in the Valujet and Swissair crashes that were caused by onboard fires, the flight controls were burned through and the planes went down quickly. In this case, you'd have to have something so catastrophic as to knock out the pilots, and possibly the passengers and cabin crew, but not catastrophic enough to bring it down immediately.

I have no idea. That site is difficult to navigate in terms of where you are on the map. I struggled with it when I was messing around with it last night. I suppose that is why he said this in the link. "He said he couldn't tell what section of the map he was looking at, but he flagged it so someone else could take a look."
I can't tell what it is, I am leaning toward a larger ship with a smaller pilot boat on its port. But idk for sure. It's a mind trick after looking at it for a while.

Electrical failure of some sort that killed the entire coms system? It is a bit of a stretch, but not knowing specifics of the system I can at least assume it is possible.
