,and here is my rebuttal, if you were to steal a car, and knew you may have to run fro the cops, would you not take the one with the bigger and full gas take, or would you prefer the car with 50% less gas?
Does anyone know how much fuel this plane was carrying? They don't always fill up on every trip. The leg they were flying was about 3,000 miles.

ok here we go again as you fail to see my point,
choose the bus: one with a full tank or one with half a tank?
Wouldn't matter. I could fuel the junker used bus to the top and drive it further than then stolen, high profile bus which is lower on fuel.
It's not like I'd stop at a station with the stolen bus full of screaming passengers and say 'fill er up'.

I don't think they give a shite about Bin Laden. This is all about creating a sovereign muslim state in Western China that would basically be Taliban in Afghanistan v2.0 but led by more bad arse, more educated, more technologically trained fellas.

I wont lie...the thought crossed my mind. Pissed off about the bin Laden raid.
Again, this is about China. Uighur Muslims have been disbursed across the region in a number of countries. This is very much a tribal Sunni Muslim grudge going on for a century with China. They have become a minority in their own land. Their goal is to expel China from their land which is rich with minerals and oil/gas.

I'm guessing they were carrying the minimal amount of fuel required for the leg. More fuel weight equals more fuel burn so they would have enough plus reserve but no more.

Very good point.

There are ways to conserve fuel.
An experienced pilot could stretch this trip. It's why the range by authorities covers all of Central Asia now.

This has nothing to do with US.

The copilot was a Muslim as well

That's right man. I think I was the first to toss Israel in as the main target about 25 pages ago. I hope I was wrong.

Maybe the 777 hijacking is just a diversion so they can sneak attack with the 60 or so 737's they've been buying up over the years.

dude does not know what terrorism means.
But here is an idea for you , I am sorry you lack this vision.
1 fly plane to Honk Kong Int Arprt, land, unload 300 hardcore combat ready militants
2 take over airport
3 take off in 777 while militants hold down airport
4 put 777 in holding pattern with a nuke and hold a whole region hostage
5 boom

I think the "trial run" theory becomes less credible as time passes and no wreckage is found. Once the high hackers proved they could commandeer an aircraft using whatever method they did, I believe they would have angered the airplane in the deep ocean to throw off suspicions.
Instead, the aviation industry and governments will have time to implement countermeasures.

A flight from the Middle East to the east coast of the US?

We don't even know who "they" are and what their end goal is. We don't even know what the facts are at this point. So how do you know that they are ahead of us.
The story changes DAILY.
