so, today's theory is what?
Extraterrestrial Muslim Chinese aliens hijacked the plane because it has a long range while one or both of the pilots killed the passengers by decompressing the cabin while they (the pilots) were wearing oxygen masks and it's in one of the 'stans in central Asia.

Or just a terrorist group that took credit

Raise your hand if anyone is surprised this tracks back to Pakistan.
no one? anyone? Thought so.

Go listen to the Malaysian PM or read the transcripts. The search has been moved to northern corridor. There is evidence by the pings and of course COMMUNICATION being shut down manually.
The focus is Central Asia

My argument is questioning why there would be this very complex, very high profile hijacking to obtain an airliner when there are plenty of cheap airliners on the market. Last night I pointed out one could obtain a used 737 for as little as $500,000 without raising suspicion and could be used quite effectively to deliver a nuclear or chemical weapon to any target in the world.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's in Malaysia.
Look at a map. Notice that they would have to fly over India for probably a thousand miles, undetected, to reach Pakistan.

I kind of like walking away then coming back to read the pages I missed for new info.
This has been a fun read. Having said that, pretty much every link going back to page one should be indexed. I'm sure some OTer would love to do that. Not me. I'm about to go take a cruise to a wonderful place.....Challmette. (lol, seriously can't river cruises at least go to Kenner or somewhere nice)

They have a pilot who is complicit in the act. This particular pilot happens to fly a 777. Maybe they should have worked harder to indoctrinate a 737 pilot?

I believe this is all about the timing.
There are dead zones of communication around the world and the area where hijack occurred is right in the middle of one. Also, we have a maximum amount of Chinese passengers, plus the fuel required to bring it back to the Kyrgyzstan region.

I don't get your analogy.
If I wanted to use a vehicle to deliver a weapon, would I hijack a bus full of people where hundreds of searches would be performed to find the bus or would I simply go by a junker used bus and drive it without suspicion to the point of attack?
That's a better analogy.

Haha, Ive been on that cruise! Love the river though.

Not the plane being in Paki, but the leader of this rebel group being harbored in Pakistan.

choose the bus: one with a full tank or one with half a tank?

Let me know what you would like the updated title to be. Unknown forces have taken over the OP numerous times over the last week.
The situation is fluid, and I am not able to keep up with everything.

I wont lie...the thought crossed my mind. Pissed off about the bin Laden raid.

PM said Northern corridor is Kasakhstan to Thailand. Kazakhstan is way north of Pakistan and Iran. That is truly a large area of land to search.
The range of this plane is far beyond what CNN shows on their map...if the pilot flies slower it conserves fuel to extend that range.
It really looks like that plane is being turned into a terrorist weapon. Israel and Moscow are within those ranges.
Maybe the passengers are still alive though.
Israel is the red flag. The Arabs will stop at nothing to destroy Israel.

This would require the pilot of the hijacked plane to know, in advance, how to intercept another airliner that they knew was flying to Pakistan or wherever. That's virtually impossible.
Think about it.
