WTF... So a plane disappears and it was clear from day 1 that the transponder was turned off.
That is enough probable cause to get warrants to search the pilots homes immediately.

Range? What does range have to do with anything? A 737 has a range of over 3000 nautical miles and more importantly can be flown without suspicion anywhere in the world.

ETA: And a 777 hijacking to steal a 777 for a weapons platform makes little sense...for the reasons I've given.

This 35 year old has a PHD, is an electrical engineer and took flight classes in Sweden in 2006. The plane is around Kyrgyzstan.
Also read this link on the flight path to the Kyrgyzstan/ China region.

They took credit early on and it was dismissed.
Nobody thought it was possible, well.
ETA: There are ways of conserving fuel widening the range by authorities. It's why the are focused on Northern corridor

I could go either way, so to speak. But Im fairly certain by the end of the day, we'll be 100% calling this a hihacking with conspiracy theories galore but increasingly focusing on an attempted landing.
