After the explosion, which separated the cockpit, the plane actually continued to climb.

Not sure you can call this "flying"; I think it's called momentum.

Join the search for the missing Malaysia Arilines flight

quote:
As the Wall Street Journal reports, Colorado-based DigitalGlobe has sent two of its satellites to survey the Gulf of Thailand and the South China Sea, targeting areas that haven't been covered by other satellites or where inclement weather could have hindered previous attempts. The company is also looking at the Strait of Malacca, after (disputed) reports yesterday suggested that the aircraft could have traveled far off course. The company's images should be available online by early Wednesday, where volunteers will be able to help scan them.

The images will be published on Tomnod, a crowdsourcing site where users help identify debris from natural disasters or other incidents. After DigitalGlobe published its first satellite images on Monday, the site saw an unprecedented influx of traffic — more than 500,000 unique visitors within 24 hours — forcing it to reboot its servers. According to DigitalGlobe senior manager Luke Barrington, 100,000 users scanned the first images, collectively examining each pixel 100 times over.

Do you want to have an e-fight regarding the "evidence" for that?

quote:

These (computer) simulations indicated that after the loss of the forward fuselage the remainder of the aircraft continued on in crippled flight, then pitched up while rolling to the left climbing to a maximum altitude between 15,537 feet and 16,678 feet from its last recorded altitude, 13,760 feet.

Yeah I was on it early this morning before I got ready for work. I think it's down right now, but it was working earlier.

Yeah, if you find something you can mark it on the map and someone behind a computer reviews it I guess.

eta - looks like the site is back up.

After reading the last 10 or so pages, I'm now 100% convinced that:
1) the plane was hijacked
2) it did make a turn back towards Malaysia
3) Malaysian airforce tried to make contact and the hijackers didn't respond.
4) Maylaysian airforce shot it down
5) Malaysian government knows exactly where it went down and is sending the rest of the world on a wild goose chase far away from the crash site while they clean up and dispose of the evidence.

My favorite part of that email, is that you included the coordinates for your favorite whore house in Cancun.

We have been talking about and using this for days.

It has been established that the site is hard to use because you have no idea where you are looking and you can't zoom in or out.

But good luck. Hope you find it.

At that point, Malaysia said, "go look in gulf of Thailand." Malaysia had the world looking in the wrong area for 90+ hours before Malaysian MILITARY told CHINA low flying #MH370 was near Pulau Perak.

What's Malaysia's geopolitical story? Other than this guy of course...

..who were their enemies/allies?

Two possibilities are floating in my head: The Malaysian government KNOWS what happened and KNEW IMMEDIATELY and they were at fault. Because a lot of Chinese people died, they didn't want to enrage their neighbor so they misled everyone and covered it up.

Or there is a plot afoot with the Malaysian government, a test was done on some new tech. It worked, and they have allies close to them willing to use it in the future. Maybe China sacrificed a few pawns to ensure the weapon worked using their own people's deaths' as a cover. That wouldn't be the worse thing done by them in history.

I dont think he is way off base either, but are we giving them too much credit by saying they have the capability to knock out this plane in the dark of night.
