The main takeaway, the CAMS (convection allowing models) continue to produce an alarming signal for insane rain amounts.
It makes a lot of sense based on your long post on the previous page.

Little Cypress Creek at Becker Road station is approaching 1 foot of rain.

I've got friends in Houston inside the loop. I was pretty horrified reading that post.

This is just terrible. I guess it's too late to leave now? Are folks trapped anywhere in this mess?

Don't leave!
It's night and with the rainfall potential water can rise quickly.

So on Thursday when Harvey finally decides to start moving again, does it carry flooding rains to Dallas area, East texas etc?

There probably are very few if any routes out of downtown houston at this point. Your best bet is find higher ground. Tons of apartments and high rises down there.

I am less than a mile outside loop on west side. Not exactly excited about the predictions.

I'm not in Houston, but I have friends there that decided to stay. I'll pass the advice along.

Absolutely no reason save medical emergency for anyone to be out on the road in this weather. I am stunned by how many vehicles I see on the local news channels' live feeds. Where the hell are these people trying to go ?

I don't know. People just don't take water seriously. But it is the most serious threat.
New Orleans would not have survived this.

That one is a lot closer to us than I am comfortable with. Nassau Bay is just a few miles SE of there.
