BATON ROUGE - The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating a death that occurred near North 18th and Convention Street.
On Friday morning, just before 11 a.m., a body was found on the porch of a home in the aforementioned area.
At the moment, Police Chief Murphy Paul is on the scene.
Details related to the death are limited at this time and will be updated as police proceed with the investigation.

The OP has been updated to include the fatal shooting on N. Acadian.
I would imagine it will need to be updated later once they release details on the person found on the front porch this morning.

We have another 3 murders over next 72 hours and I guarantee a press conference is coming.

There were about 10 cop cars on Bayou Fountain Ave a few minutes ago when I drove by. Probably another shooting.

It would be a part of unincorporated EBR, I believe. Definitely not StG though because StG stops along Bluebonnet in that area

Probably a shooting and St. G stops at Bluebonnet, so it wouldn't count towards anything, similar to the Millerville incident.

I wonder if tax dollars are being used for this or private donations? Perhaps the monies being used have been siphoned off of the private donations being used to sue St. George.
