Might as well build a police station in Howell Park. They could just close it but what good would that do?

Used to play in the BREC summer golf program when I was a kid. I remember one day we played at Howell and watched some dude get into it with his old lady at the apartments across the street from the #2 tee box. She locked him out then he proceeded to beat down the door with a huge chunk of concrete. Good times.

Turn it into a prison farm to supply fresh vegetables to the food desert.

I remember playing in little league games at Howell Park in the mid 80s. It was, um, starting to turn for the worse back then. It's a complete shithole now.

I hope this isn’t true. Prayers to the families if true. Can’t even have a proper funeral service right now.

The ole boy who killed them should just eat a bullet.

His time in police and prison custody for the rest of his worthless life is going to be pure hell. Cops and Angola guards don’t forget

The Advocate

quote:

Baton Rouge Police say two of its officers were shot Sunday at a house in North Baton Rouge and taken to a hospital.

Spokesperson Sgt. L'Jean McKneely Jr. said the shooting occurred on Conrad Drive. The nature of the officers' injuries was not immediately known.

The injured officers were taken to Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center, District Attorney Hillar Moore III said. About 40 police officers had gathered on the hospital's second floor.

The shooting scene is a block off North Foster Drive near its intersection with Winbourne Avenue, in a residential neighborhood that includes a number of brick-and-wood-frame houses.

The shooting may have taken place inside of a house, McKneely said.

No one is in custody but police are trying to make contact with someone who may be connected to the shooting.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.

Anyone know what time this happened? A little before 1100 this morning several police cars began flying down Jefferson. My first thought was an officer had been shot given their speed and number. Terrible news this Sunday.
