So whites, asians and hispanics don't commit crimes. So we should let a guy who is white who beats his wife or a Hispanic rapist go? An Asian guy who driving drunk is okay as well?

Well law enforcement should patrol every area, good or bad. It's only logical to patrol the higher crime area more heavily. Unfortunately the high crime areas are usually more black or hispanic. To say LEO's should only go after blacks is ignorant and unjust.
I know in Nola, the wealthier areas voluntarily pay extra to have private patrols constantly monitoring the area. And anyone in Nola knows exactly what those officers are looking for when they are driving around the Garden District and Lakeview and that is because 98% of the thefts are occurring from the same type of perps.
I never said LEO's should only go after black's. They need to keep a much closer watch on the higher crime areas, which happen to be the poor black areas, because that is where the worst of the crime happens. I guess it's a what came first, the chicken or the egg situation. If the crime wasn't there they wouldn't be patrolling those areas like they do. Every citizen in this country wishes those crime ridden areas didn't have the problems that they do and therefore we didn't have to tie up all the police resources on those areas.

This. Period.

Are you really this stupid?

That's called good police work. I read an extremely alarming statistic about black males the other day. I don't remember the exact numbers but it was close to black males make up 6% of the population but commit over 50% of the violent crimes in this country. If the police are ignoring basic statistics and not watching black males closely then they need to be fired.
So you honestly think that makes it okay to stop any black male they see at random, for no other reason than just to check and make sure they aren't doing anything wrong?

I'm stupid because it's illegal to do so? Remember racism is bad

You didn't know police should do that? Silly you

So for you to say "Its really not hard to avoid being pulled over" is an ignorant statement. No black man would say that because often for them it can actually be hard to avoid getting pulled over. It's an easy assumption to make that you are in fact a sheltered white guy.
In baton rouge, police target young white males.
Check points are not being set up on Eddie Robinson or Thomas h Delpit. They are being set up where college aged white males go out.
If they are looking to bust down on crack, they look in the black areas. Weed, just about any color will do. They were cracking down hard on ecstasy several years ago, whose house were they raiding? Whites.
So I'm not buying blacks are targeted any more than whites or Latinos. They are targeted for diff crimes.
Weren't they originally looking for a white guy during the Derrick Tod Lee saga? Weren't white males in white trucks being targeted?

So now it comes out that he didn't have a concealed carry permit and the girlfriend made that up. That makes sense as in South Carolina's 8 hour concealed carry class they drill it in your head what to do if stopped by police and keeping your hands on the wheel / dashboard where the officer can see them is repeated. Not telling the cop that you are merely reaching for your wallet when you have a pistol on your lap.
Oh and as it turns out they were not actually stopped for a broken taillight but in fact he was being pulled over for suspicion of an armed robbery that happened less than 2 miles away.
If the media and political left keep this up we are going to have race riots.

Where did you hear this?

The robbery suspect bit has been shown to be untrue

Regardless don't reach for shite with a weapon on you.

Too many side streets and alternative ways to get around. Also there is barely any traffic around that time of night on those streets.

I agree. This man did not follow his training. I'm not saying the officer was guilty or not, but PC opened himself up to having a bad time.

Regardless it sucks for everyone. All could of been avoided by not reaching for a weapon.
Posted on 6/18/17 at 11:40 am to xxGEAUXxx
If he was reaching for his ID as they have stated then he should have informed the officer it was close to his firearm. That is how I was trained at least.
Posted on 6/18/17 at 11:43 am to jmarto1
Well if you are armed and properly tell the LEO you are armed. They will ask you to step out and disarm you. Really simple.

From the radio dispatch of Officer Jeronimo Yanez:
“I’m going to stop a car. I’m going to check IDs. I have reason to pull it over.”
“The two occupants just look like people that were involved in a robbery. The driver looks more like one of our suspects, just ‘cause of the wide set nose.”

Well the first part is okay. If they match the description then you're good. But "wideset nose" isn't cool
Posted on 6/19/17 at 7:32 am to xxGEAUXxx
All black people have "wideset noses"????
