Hoping for the best for the officer.

today has been the record for TV break ins. Weather, weather scrolls, the same Amber alert every twenty minutes, then the break in for the officer shooting.

Florida, Desire, 7th ward and upper ninth are the worst places in the city, hands down, that two square mile area could be carpet bombed and the city would be better off for it.

This is not what NOPD needs as they are desperate to attract new officers. Their guys are getting gunned down or killed left and right this year.

A few weeks ago I was on the corner of Desire and Claiborne at night. I've never felt more uneasy in my life.
There is an energy to that place. It's like the third world.
I don't know how you deal with that community or what you do to fix the plethora of issues, but something has to be done. The crime and bullshite is oozing it's way into Lakeview and old metairie and it's already rampant uptown and midcity. And that criminal element's heart and soul lies in neighborhoods like Desire.
