Ticket system implemented at my wife employers Christmas parties too. I just slip the bartender a 20 when I get there and make sure to keep going back to the same bartender.
Tonight is this year's CP, hopefully I'll have a story to tell as good as OP.

This makes for awesome stories but it’s also why i am really against dates or significant others at the company parties.

We had a guy go to the hospital 2 years ago after our CEO bought several rounds of shots.....we now have a Thursday night happy hour instead of a full-blown dinner, with after-party.
Still gets pretty rowdy, but they can shut it down if it gets out of control. Then the younger crowd will just move venues while the older crowd heads to bed.

I could have used more details about the naked vagina, but all in all it was an enjoyable tale catching the essence of office Christmas parties.

One of the trashiest things someone can do TBH.
Several years ago, a Director at my previous company got absolutely wrecked at the company Christmas party. She was always a hot mess anyway, but this was over the top.
She showed up to the party trashed with a random guy and proceeded to get sloppy, crying, falling down, blackout drunk. This was a fairly small company (~500 employees across the country), and our local branch office had only about 75 employees, so everyone knew everyone well and there was no blending in. The two C-level execs who were there pissed, and I ended up having to get her an Uber home because her date abruptly left after announcing she wasn't his responsibility because they weren't a couple.
The top ranking exec at our branch changed the open bar policy for future parties, and the Director got told to look for other jobs about a month later and ended up leaving shortly thereafter.
Moral of the story - don't get shitfaced and act like a dumbass at an office party.
