Odd Occurence and the wife thinks I'm crazy...

Driving down perkins and my wife and her friend are following me to lowes so I don't have to listen to Kesha and two women cackling (we may have also been going to buy a ton of plants).
Heavy traffic, 4 pm. Guy in a shitty car cuts through three lanes near bluebonnet and almost sideswipes me. I swerve and avoid the accident, my windows are down so I give him the one finger salute and yell a choice word or two.
We pull up at the light and three (late teen early 20s) guys jump out of the car. What do you do?
Now it turns out the three guys were literally so angry with the driver they were willing to walk across perkins in heavy traffic into the taco bell parking lot to avoid riding with him. All looked pretty damned high.
My wife is giving me grief because she saw my reverse lights blink as it went into park.

So you put it into park, ready to get out thinking it was about get real?
If so, taking on 3 dudes is a pretty tall task and probably not exceptionally smart. I would just stay in my vehicle and have my gun at the ready.

I'm just curious as to what people's reactions are. I'm not after getting punched in the face through an open window or running some people over. I'd rather be out the car than in.
As for 3 on 1, a big knife and a small gun are my +2s.
My point was simply, my wife thinks I'm crazy for contemplating getting out at all. Her friend thought she was about to see someone die.
I wasn't wanting to get out by any means, I just felt it was better to be prepared for the worst case...

I wouldn't put it in park, I'd be prepared to haul arse out of there using the vehicle as a battering ram if necessary. It's 2015 and they will kill you for anything now.

If you were by Bluebonnet, then pull up to a light and they got out and walked across Perkins, Something isn't adding up.
This road has been my stomping ground since there were Xmas trees for sale at the corner of Essen and the vacant Kleinpeter Store at Siegen.
Get your facts straight. You would have been on way BACK from Lowes. And They would have had to cross Essen AND Gattis Lot to get to Taco Bell by the way your story read.
